As we near the end of 2024, Motorsports Gateway Howell celebrates key milestones like completing our temporary access road, stormwater management system, paving the circuit base course, and begin erecting and enclosing garage condos. Despite setbacks in completing our full mission for circuit and condo milestones due to weather and site plan adjustments in 2024, we prioritized quality and community alignment. Looking ahead, we’re focused on finalizing condo enclosures, establishing utility connections, opening the track for members, preparing for the North Circuit, and beginning paddock building construction. Our team is dedicated to achieving these goals as we move into 2025.

September 2024 Construction Update: Motorsports Gateway Howell Reaches Major Milestones with South Circuit Paving
Motorsports Gateway Howell has made significant strides in its construction, with the South Circuit now paved, thanks to collaboration with AJAX Paving Industries. This private driving circuit, features 15 turns, a 1/2-mile straight, and 140 feet of elevation change, offering a unique and exhilarating experience for drivers. Progress on the garage condo community continues, with materials for Buildings 1 and 2 on-site.
Howell’s Racing Roots: Quarter Midget Competitions of the 1950’s
In the 1950s, Howell, Michigan, became a site for Quarter Midget racing, introducing youth motorsports through scaled-down race cars and competitions held just north of where Motorsports Gateway Howell now stands.

August 2024 Construction Update: Key Infrastructure for Track and Garage Condos
Significant progress was made on the South Circuit, with subbase placement nearly complete and the edge drain system fully installed, setting the stage for paving. Infrastructure work includes the completion of utility conduits, stormwater basin stabilization, and connections to grid power. Garage condos are also moving forward, with Building 7 nearing full enclosure and materials for buildings 1 and 2 set to arrive next month.

Motorsports Gateway Attends Pratt Miller Motorsports Partnership Summit
Hosted at the Global Headquarters of Oshkosh Corporation, Pratt Miller Motorsports' first Partnership Summit brought together a host partners for an evening of networking and inspiration. Since Oshkosh acquired Pratt Miller in 2020, their combined expertise in engineering and innovation has driven significant growth and development across multiple sectors, including defense, mobility, and motorsports. The event featured presentations from key leaders, including Oshkosh CEO John Pfeifer and retired Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan, who shared insights into the value of the partnership and the storied history of Corvette Racing.
Major Milestones Achieved at Motorsports Gateway Howell: Circuit and Building 7 Progressing Smoothly
Substantial progress on the South Circuit has occurred, with over 50% of the sub-base material installed and preparations for the asphalt base course set to begin in early August. Building 7 is also advancing well, with masonry and blocking completed, and interior work scheduled to start soon, while our stormwater management infrastructure continues to improve with various installations and soil stabilization efforts.
Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3.R Achieves Historic 1-2 Finish in First IMSA Victory at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park
The Pratt Miller Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R secured its first IMSA victory with a dominant 1-2 finish by Corvette Racing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, led by Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims in the No. 3 car. This win marks a significant milestone for the new GT3 car, designed for both factory-supported and customer teams, and adds to Corvette Racing's impressive history with their 116th victory in major competitions. The team now looks forward to building on this success in the remaining races of the season.

With roof installation and framing of garage doors and windows complete, work on Building 7 transitioned to placement of foundational concrete blocks and enclosure paneling. Significant construction progress continues with the edge drain system and the verification of the circuit's foundation hardening through two proof rolls. Major strides have also been made in stormwater management with the completion of sediment basins. Additionally, Building 7 is rapidly taking shape with the roof installed, window and door frames set, and enclosure materials delivered.

As IMSA and INDYCAR drivers raced through downtown Detroit, Motorsports Gateway and Pratt Miller Motorsports provided an exceptional experience for Drivers Club members. Members enjoyed prime seating at Turn 3—the circuit's most thrilling corner—and exclusive access to Pratt Miller's hospitality suite, which offered refreshments, live race feeds, appearances by Pratt Miller drivers, and the unique chance to virtually race on Motorsports Gateway’s South Circuit via the Assetto Corsa sim-racing platform.
