JULY 28TH, 2023

As we dive into the heart of summer, we have new updates to share about the progress of our automotive district. With each passing day, we are getting closer to our vision of creating a world-class driving experience. Let's take a closer look at the recent developments that are propelling us forward:

Next Phase of Earthworks Scheduled to Commence - August 7th, 2023

We are pleased to announce that the next phase earthworks for our project are set to kick off the week of August 7th, 2023. This marks a significant milestone in the development of Motorsports Gateway Howell as we begin to shape the landscape to accommodate our performance driving circuit, garage condos, and other amenities.

South Circuit Paving on the Horizon

The anticipation grows as we near the back-half of summer, when the South Circuit is scheduled to be paved. The completion of this critical feature at the automotive district will bring us one step closer to offering a top-notch driving experience to our Drivers Club members.

Fostering Positive Partnerships

Recently, the founders of MGH embarked on a road trip, accompanied by Howell City Officials, to Indianapolis for an in-person meeting with the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company (PEPL) office. Erv Suida, Howell City Manager, and Kristi Troy, Howell Planning & Zoning Administrator, were part of the delegation also seeking approval from PEPL for infrastructure projects around our automotive district.

The goal of this meeting was to optimize the surface use agreement, ensuring it benefited both parties. We are delighted to announce that PEPL and MGH came to an agreement that allows our team to extend the length of the South Circuit through turns 3 and 4. Additionally, we obtained approval for additional runoff area at turn 8. These developments not only enhance the driving experience but also decrease wetland impacts, aligning with MGH's commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the land for the community and native wildlife. "Securing this approval from PEPL has been a significant accomplishment for us, and we have been working towards it since the beginning of 2021," states Jordan Dick, CEO of Motorsports Gateway Howell.

Engineering Excellence

With the new agreements in hand, we are actively collaborating with Driven International and Atwell to design and engineer the updates to turns 3, 4, and 8. Our aim is to create a circuit that offers both exhilaration and safety, setting new standards for performance driving experiences.

Fun Fact Unearthed

Deep under our automotive district lies one of the largest natural gas storage formations in the country. The formation spans beneath Howell, Brighton, and Fowlerville, with PEPL access points around the MGH property. The gas used to heat your home or cook food may come from this very formation!

Discovering Hidden Gems

During their road trip, the group made a fun discovery - Payne's Restaurant in Gas City, IN. This restaurant is known for their Fish 'n' chips. If you are passing through, “I highly recommend giving them a try!” says Jordan Dick, CEO of MGH. The restaurant owner's interesting story of relocating from the United Kingdom to Indiana due to his admiration for the iconic actor, James Dean, who grew up in the area and was an automotive enthusiast as well, adds an extra layer of intrigue to this culinary gem for the MGH team.

As summer unfolds, so does the progress at Motorsports Gateway Howell. We are thrilled to be one step closer to creating an exceptional automotive district that embodies passion, innovation, and a strong sense of community. Stay tuned for more exciting updates and join us on this remarkable journey!
